One of the salient features of the
INSIDE is the possibility or re-positioning the image produced
on the screen.
After inserting the endoscope in the mouth in such a way as to frame the working field without
interfering with the instruments, the operator, by using the control unit housed on the swivelling
arm, can mirror and rotate the image thanks to the motorised prism (patented by Faro) to make
it consistent with the eyes.
(In simple terms - once the image has been correctly positioned, when the operator moves the
instrument they are holding to the right, it will move to the right on the screen, and needless to
say left, up and down respectively).
In effect - as if you were looking into the mouth!
Moving and using the instrument is thus easy and very natural.

The Swivelling Arm
INSIDE is mounted on an articulated (compensated)
arm which is very sensitive and precise and
guarantees images which are absolutely stable.
Thanks to the swivelling arm, once it has been
correctly positioned, the operator can let go of
INSIDE and have both hands free.

The Control Panel
The Swivelling Arm houses the Control Unit with its
buttons for managing the various functions of
INSIDE, the management electronics and the
regulator for the air-flow for cleansing the optics.
ON/OFF: Clear memory data
FREEZE: Freeze frame and mosaic
MIRROR: Image inverting
ROTATE LEFT:
ROTATE RIGHT:
(Rotation is continuous as long as button held and
not restricted by end-stops)

The Endoscope
The picture quality yielded by
INSIDE is extremely
high thanks to the colour CCD with automatic
brightness compensation, coupled with a highly
sophisticated optic having a diametre of only 10mm
and length of 90mm.
It can guarantee extraordinary depth of field, ranging
from 25mm to 70mm, allowing the entire oral cavity
to be easily viewed.
Illumination
This is provided by INSIDE itself. Using a white, high-
intensity LED and an integrated fibre optic crown,
perfect and detailed vision is obtained of every point
in the working area.

Air Cleansing
Also provided is a systems for cleansing the optics
and the return mirror with skimming jets of
compressed air (patented by Faro) allowing the
dentist to work comfortably while also using cooling
sprays.

Accessories
Two main accessories are considered all that are
necessary - system for direct vision and a system
incorporating a removal mirror for 90 degree vision.
Two of each are supplied with the
INSIDE and can
be sterilised in an autoclave.

Freeze Box
This is a remote box containing the electronics
which allows the image to be frozen, either as a full
screen image of a mosaic of 4 separate captured
images without using a PC.
Images can be also stored to any connected PC.
